Thomas’s approach to Ayurvedic teaching and practice is modeled on the traditional Indian Gurukula education system. His philosophically sound curriculum programmes, integrated with health science and clinical internships, have allowed Thomas to appreciate the best of both eastern and western health traditions. This is placing him in a unique situation in western Ayurvedic education and practice.
Thomas’s previous training as a professional dancer at the University of New Zealand has strongly influenced his fine skills in physical therapies of Ayurveda. He incorporates rhythm, movement, synchrony and soulfulness in imparting Ayurvedic therapies. His approach to Ayurvedic therapies skillfully combines authentic eastern traditions, professional standards of contemporary health practice and energetic healing through a core focus on creating stillness within.
Through his commitment for Ayurvedic education, practice, philosophy, herbal medicine and research, Thomas believes in encouraging a hands on approach to healing. Be it in his practice or teaching sessions, Thomas aims towards a patient centered and student centered approach thus enabling his clients to grow within their own practice.
